Hello Big Brother..."Mudd"?

Here we are with the 1st anniversary of the so called "affordable" health care act..aka: Obamacare. Crafted behind closed doors(with GOP and independants SHUT OUT) by Harry Reid and company this raw deal is getting worse as much of the information about it is still with held from the American public. How many in this country realise that their freedom of choice has been taken away? We are required to by health care or be fined---no choice.Here we are just one year since this monstrocity became law and the "news" media are treating this thing as the best thing that came along since sliced bread!!! Already there are over 200 companies that obtained wavers and all we hear about in the "news' is that so many people will be covered----BY WHAT?? --BIG BROTHER??This bill was rammed thru congress by the Democrat magority (so much for bipartisanship-huh?) when over 60% of Americans are on record of NOT wanting government run health care. All of America must comply by the Democrats rules--or else.There is a word to discribe what the Democrats have done ---that word is TYRANNY! Onece you start losing your liberty for "benefits' when will you get it back?Where does it end? What is next for the government to "choose" for us?our jobs? our schools? In one of my favorite STAR TREK episodes the crew of the enterprise are taken prisoner by a group of androids and their leader--Harcourt Fenton Mudd. In scene the androids want them to be happy because their "need" were met--but they were not free. Kirk and crew turn the tables on Mudd and the androids and gain their freedom. I love the part when the andriods turn on Mudd!!Sooo I aksk the question I have in mind: Which will it be America? Constitutional indavidual freedom or will we live under the "care" of Big Brother "king" Harry "Reid" Mudd the 1st?

Is "their" peace so sweet??

As the elections draw near it is becoming more and more clear the direction this Democratic controlled congress and white house want to take America. By their own legislative actions from bailouts to Obamacare the party of Pelosi, Obama, and GREED ---(oh I mean Reid)---have shown their arrogant attitude towards  the American people!!  Over 60% of Americans opposed Obamacare and they told congress this thru townhall meetings and TEA party rallys---only to have voices ignored and congress made "their" choices. Correct me if I am wrong here but is not FORCING an indavidual to do something (in this case doing commerce) when constitutionally they do not have to--is that not enslavement?? The British parliment "elite" thought they could do what they will to the American colonists and the colonists would just have to  "take it" ---THEY DID NOT!!!! , Now in a few weeks WE the PEOPLE!! will make the decisions!!!On November 2nd is OUR chance to send a very real message of outr OWN!War has been declared on our liberty--the opening shots have already been fired--Obamacare crafted by this Democratic party controlled congress  is only the biginning...WILL WE ALLOW IT??Is "Their" peace so sweet to be purchased at the cost of our LIBERTY????I can hear  more chains being forged for US behind closed doors of Washington--I ask again--WILL WE ALLOW IT??I say NO!!! It is STILL WE the PEOPLE...not US the government!We Americans have said it in our voices...on November 2nd WE WILL say it in VOTES!!!......CLEAN HOUSE  2010!!!!

This NOVEMBER...WE will DRAIN the SWAMP!!!

For many in this election year-election day in November is quite a ways away--NOT FOR ME. Right now I see politicians like Nancy Pelosi acually calling for investagations into those who oppose the so called "peaceful" mosque proposed near ground zero? HELLO!! 3000 Americans were killed by terrorists that could not care less about "peace' let alone the lives of innocent people if this proposed building is for "peace" then WHY did the imam refuse the land offer by the govenor of NY? Right now this country is on the very brink of economic collapse. We have spending going on by this DEMOCRATIC controlled Washington that has NEVER been done in our nations history, yes November is here already! The house speaker claimed to "drain the swamp" and yet we have two high ranking DEMOCRATS charged with ethic violations--the SWAMP still STINKS!! This November WE have real choices. It will be ether back towards conservative sanity or further down the road of liberal progressave lunicy and certain shipwreck. THIS NOVEMBER will be a turning point---one way or the other. Politicians will try to blow smokescreens to try to cover, but it is TOO LATE! America has seen and heard ENOUGH!! THIS NOVEMBER WE as FREE AMERICANS will be making OUR CHOICES. The true hope is in the fact that we were created to be a FREE PEOPLE---to make INDAVIDUAL CHOICES!!! There are those who would like nothing more than to keep on making choices that keep the swamp STINKING!Well, THIS NOVEMBER CHANGE is COMING! AMERICA will VOTE and WE WILL DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!CLEAN  HOUSE! 2010!!!

Time 4 COURAGE...time 4 RESOLVE...time 2 STAND!!!

Just a few weeks ago we celebrated the 4th of July.  A time we shook off the chains of tyranny from Britain by divine call. But  many things have happened in this country since its founding-when Jefferson said " The Bible is the cornerstone of our Liberty" .We have groups that take prayer out of our schools and a federal government sueing a state over a just law that PROTECTS Americans!!On March 23. 2010 President Barack Obama signed a piece of paper-this so called "affordable health care act". Under Obamacare we are NO LONGER a free nation. We are now "mandated" to buy insurance (what's next-forcably buying a car from GM-government motors?) our indavidual liberty was wiped away with a stroke of a pen. Over 60% of Americans have voiced their opposition to government run health care at Townhall meetings and TEA Party rallies from coast to coast only to have their conserns fall on DEAF DEMOCRATIC ears. We have an AMERICAN state of Arizona being slammed because they are protecting Americans.To make matters worse we have a sorry excuse for "news" reporting that cow-tows to the progressive adgenda and to hell with what other facts there are!!Oh we hear a about the "benefits" of this but what of the COST??? The question I have is : "IS "THEIR" security so DEAR"???Is Obamacare worth it when we do not have a choice in the matter??and lose our LIBERTY??I remember another American who asked a similiar question--his name was Patrick Henry. He asked :"Is life so dear, or peace so sweet to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it Almighty God!"! I hear a sound...that sound is a voting America that is AWAKE!! Thank God there is real HOPE!!It is coming THIS NOVEMBER!!!I do not know what course others my take but as for ME give me LIBERTY!!!(you know the rest) On to November--CLEAN HOUSE 2010!!

OK America...start PULLING!!!

One of my all time favorite movies is "Flight of the Phoenix" starring Jimmy Stewart. The movie is about a group of plane crash survivors that rebuild their plane in the desert and fly it out. They save themselves by working together to rebuild the plane-thus saving themselves from the desert as well from certain death from bandits. What is crystal clear from the very biginning is they HAD to work together ...or perish in the desert. In my favorite scene Stewart (a genuine American Hero) calls for action with these words:"start pulling"!!! Right now this country IS in a desert!! We face threats from all sides from an out of control taxaholic federal government to "bandits" who make bombs and fly jetliners into New York City skyscrapers. We have a courageous state of Arizona taking constructive steps to solve the very real problem of ILLEGAL immagration while politicians and other states play a game of  Ill take my marbles home!!!! In the words of a great American Jimmy Stewart in the movie WE got to start PULLING !!!!!or we will perish in the desert still pointing fingers.In this election year there is still time for us to rebuild the plane and fly it to safety before it is too late. WE must --I repeat we MUST start working hand in hand instead of fists in the air!!Arizona has taken a courageous step. It is not hard to see who really wants America to succeed and be prosperous--just look who is backing Arizona and who is not. My family came here from Ireland--I am ALL for Immigration for ALL races!!!!That is not the issue. The issue is legal Immigration and national security. I beleve in this country I really do. I beleve we cam build the "plane" and fly it. We have done it before-as Americans-WE can do it again. The elections in November are closer than we think!! Oh and by the way ...Phoenix is in Arizona.

Good Heavens! I support the (GASP!) Patriots!

Someone call the FBI! Alert the Department of Homeland Security! because there is a group based in New England that is planning to (GASP!) go to "battle" this fall!!and...and...they (GASP!)call themselves the (GASP!) The PATRIOTS!!!OH NO!!(Detroit) LIONS, (BENGAL)Tigers, and (CHICAGO)Bears....OH MY!!!!OK, OK let us all calm down and think about this. It is bad enough that there are real bad guys (9/11 attacks) out there that hate us because we are free.What is also bad is when peaceful protesters gather to express opposing views they are labeled wrongly. I am a HUGE fan of the New England Patriots. I really hope that they kick butt this fall! Now does that mean I support violence? NO---I support a football team!!!I openly challenge the press to go to the games and hear the fans say "crush" them! and then report that the fans are "extremist" The point I am tring to make is plain---I love this country so do many who are ralling for change. America will vote for change this fall. In many ways it is fall already!! Because America is fed up of the out of control government that is spending this nation to oblivion!!I fully support efforts like the TEA party that calls to rein in spending and cut the costs while we still can. The key here is information and education. That's where this blogger (and many) come in. Between now and November we will get information out so America can VOTE!!With Gods help I know we can stear this nation away from Democratic Disaster. May God bless these efforts--go Patriots! and God BLESS the USA!!

In NO way does violence play a part in peacefull change thru the Constitutional means the founders of this Nation invisioned. The group in Michagan that thought to bring harm were as wrong as the day is long (yes, I am Irish-proud of it)  In this Nation WE VOTE!!We get informed first--Why I am Blogging. and then VOTE!!Anyone who calls themselves Christian and supports violence is not playing with a full deck---nuff said.

March 1765 and March 2010

In the years leading up to the American Revolution the British Parliament imposed measures clearly designed keep the colonies "in line". These were called the Intolerable Acts.One such measure was the stamp act.  Passed in 1765 this required the colonies to buy stamps for deeds,mortages,liquor licenses,law licences, playing cards,and almanacs. Even newspapers and other publishers had to buy these stamps for their publications. Even after this Intolerable act was repealled in 1766 the fires of LIBERTY were burning in each and every Patriot in the colonies---The Revolution was on. Now ,let's talk about what happened this week. On Sunday 219 votes were cast to impose a political partys agenda reather to represent free people in a free constitutional republic. Because of this bill-signed into law Americans  will have to buy insurance--or else. This is not Liberty!!!Someone-anyone please show me where it says in the US Constitution where the federal government can force us to buy any goods or services??Imagine a car maker knocking at your door and saying that a new law was passed and by this law you have to buy HIS make of car. Just think both the stamp act and Obamacare were passed in the month of march Hmmmmm(hat tip to fellow blogger Crawfish for the reminder)  Our Liberties and the free enterprise system are in great danger. We have already seen what congress can do even when over 60 percent of Americans have voiced that they DID NOT want this "reform". This law can and must be repealed. Congress voted this week WE will vote in November.

It appears the will of the American people does not matter at all to this Democrat controlled congress and white house. It is more than clear that the party of Pelosi,Obama, and Reid are gonna proceed to ram  this so called "health care reform" bill down our throats no matter what happens in the Thursday meeting.Why do the Republicans even bother to go to this meeting at all when the Dems are planning to do it anyway? Does it matter that the magority of Americans do not want the big governments version of health care reform?You would think with the GOP victories in Virginia, New Jersey,and Massechusetts the Democrats would get the hint: America is not buying anymore the direction you are taking us! At TEA party rallies and Townhall meetings nationwide the American people have raised their united voices only to seemingly have them fall on totally deaf ears.To their credit Republicans have offered real health care reform ideas. One example is the Patients Free Choice Act of 2009. This plan put the choice with the patient and does not raise taxes. It was also co-sponsored by a DOCTOR---fancy that. Did the delusional Democrats consider this (and other) proposals? Well, we pretty much know the answer to that question do we? How can the Democrats claim that they want to work with the Republicans when the GOP has been shut out of their meetings? This meeting tomorrow is just a show theatre.To close I want to say--GO AHEAD Democrats make our day! It is clear you have already made your choices...this coming November will be our turn.

Mr President...You don't listen

President Barack Obama delivered his state of the union speech-as usual-with great skill." I don't quit" was said..the problem is Mr President You don't listen!!Yes, We have lost faith--because of broken promises-broken promises from a broken government. It is going to take a lot more than inspirational words to fix what is terribly wrong with this current leadership. We were promised "change we can believe in" and what did we get?? an overreaching government that is on its way on a unstustainable path to oblivion. A Democrat controlled congress that  rather have closed door deals than listen to the People and other ideas of reform. A 1000 page bill that says health care "reform" but is not!!I do believe America has seen enough and has had enough. The elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and now Massechusets were a referendum on this current leadership also on where they are leading this nation. The President may talk a good talk -but concrete action should of have taken place long ago. The fact of the matter is  it was'nt.Our economy is at the breaking point and in poll after poll Amreicans have said the econony is their high consern.But we get more taxes and larger government reaching in our lives.Why do we hear all this talk just after the recient election results??I wonder. I do believe that this country still has what it takes to pull out of this mess. It will take returning to the very conservative principles that have worked in the past and will work now. It is not too late. The recient elections have proven that.

Victory in Massetchusetts!!!

In a stunning Victory Massetchusetts has elected Republican Scott Brown! Spring cleaning has started early this year!!All the way up to this I know there were many who were thinking that Martha Coakley was a shoe in.Even Barack Obama hurried to Boston in an effort to turn the tide---did not work. Massetchusetts has'nt elected a Republican senator since 1972 and there are more Democrats in the Bay State than Republicans. With that said there was a HUGE factor that many Dems forgot--the Independants! Independant voters were out in force like never before and it is not hard to figure out WHY. Under  Democratic leadership this nations national dept has ballooned larger than ever before. We have uncontrolled spending,double digit unemployment, and a economy at the breaking point. We have had Townhall meetings and TEA party rallies where our conserns were ignored or not listened to altogether. The Patriotic TEA party movement has been scorned in the press and openly attacked by so called "news" broadcasts. Even as I write this post Harry Reid said that the seating of Brown may my take 10 days--WHAT??Sorry- Mr Reid, Scott Brown was freely elected by the wise voters of the Bay State and must be seated NOW!This Victory in Massetchusetts is a great Victory that joins the triumphs ofVirginia and New Jersey.  2010 has just begun and spring cleaning has started early!! Is it November yet??

Let's do it again...in 2010

This is the last day of 2009. The new year that begins tomorrow brings with it renewed hope and possibilities. Just a week ago the Democratic controlled congress sent a very clear message to the American people...We do not care what you think we will do things our way because we got the power. OH REALLY???Well,  2010 -an election year- is apon us and now it is OUR turn we as free American voters to send a message of our own!!! When those elected do not do what they were elected to do for the American people the voters make their choices.How can Harry Reid say that he wants to "work" with the Republicans when they were shut out of his meetings drafting this horrable bill??We were promised "change we can believe in" and "change we need". What we got was MORE of the same and more of GREED!!The 60 votes that were cast further propelled this nation in a direction to disaster.It ushered in a new chapter of  taxes and out of control spending when our economy is already at the breaking point.Does the word "unsustainable"have any meaning to this Democratic party controlled congress and white house? aparently not.I- for one am sick and tired of hearing big plan retoric with the way to pay for them is new taxes.In many ways it is 1776 all over again. A  Patriotic "perfect storm " is brewing and the TEA cup is boiling over! It is time for real change!! As this year goes into history---We have the next year to make history of our own with our VOTES!!( remember Virginia and New Jersey) Let's get busy. It is not too late.

A VERY Merry CHRISTmas to all!!

The Joy of the Christmas season is truly for everyone!! When the angels proclaimed that a savior was born it was a message of the true hope for all the world---"to all people" (I wonder if the United Nations will ever figure that out!) I want to take the time here to wish everyone here at Townhall the VERY BEST of this Holy season!! I know we are living in troubling times.  We have efforts to take God out of our schools and any reference to the creator of our liberties are being attacked in the name of "political correctness' Well, I have some info for those who think that way--take a good look at the title of this post!!!!I will be spending Christmas with my family in Virginia. They have a lot more to be thankful for with the results of the latest elections! We have every reason to have faith and hope. The promise of the true savior was made and fulfilled by the Holy child born in Bethlehem!!! God bless everyone as we think of Christmas and the true hope we all cam hold on to---not just now but in the years to come!!!Now if you would excuse me I got to put up some CHRISTmas lights!!!God bless!

V....Yes, It is time.

"they" came bringing many promises. "they" came saying: "we want what is best for you and we will' take care 'of you."Just trust us- they said-do not worry "-we will take care of everything."in other words "change we can believe in." but it was a deception--what they really wanted was to plunder  and enslave us for their "purposes". This cirtainly sounds like a SiFi series that is on TV this week does'nt it? This also could be said of many in washington right now who have promised "change" but what we got was more of the same!!! The word unsustainable comes to mind.In the SiFi series V mankind fights back agenst an oppressive alien race determined to enslave them and "use" them for their "purposes".I believe the time has come for those who truly love liberty to fight and fight with votes..now!!There are those  in washington now that care only about keeping their power---no matter what. If it means running our beloved country into the ground to keep their power (and to control us)then so be it. We have an already a way too big government that many think is the answer to all of our problems---in other words in "Big Brother"government they trust. This nation was not built like that. This republic has prospered because if we get a skunk in office we can vote and get the skunk OUT!!we then deal with the leftover stink afterwards. Like in the SiFi series V we have a fight on our hands. We do not need a "Big Brother" alien race to tax us to death and run our lives!The fight is ON--our weapons are VOTES!!We WILL live a free people!!

If she votes like a Democrat...

We are all familiar with the saying: " if it walks like a duck-talks like a duck" Well, this saying can indeed be said about the votes this past monday in the senate finance committee. Now, am I calling Olympia Snowe "a duck"?? No...I am just going to let her vote speak for itself. It does seem that the magority of what Americans feel about big government spending and taxes expressed at all of the townhall meetings has fallen on deaf ears.The issue here is not real health care reform--we all want that.The issue is big government spending and big government taxes. It makes no sense whatsoever to pass a bill ( in  an economy that is already on the brink )  that will raise taxes over 300 billion.  Did not the congressional budget office state that this frankenstein would cost 1.8 TRILLION dollars over the next ten years??Are any of the genuises in Washington listening??If health care reform was really the motive for many in washington WHY do they not look into the Patients Choice Act of 2009??of the sponsors of this good idea is a doctor-Tom Coburn-fancy thatThis plan puts power in the hands of the paitent--not the government. Power to the people---good idea.What was voted on this past monday will now go to the senate floor and then the magor fireworks will start. For many the answer is big government---for others like this blogger -it is in the free enterprise capitalist system that can correct itself with the right ideas. Olympia Snowe has made her choice and it speaks volumes.
